Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Introduces "Living with Hemophilia"
Speakers Bureau for the Hemophilia Community

Collegeville, Pa. (June 8,2005) — Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Wyeth (NYSE:WYE), recently introduced the "Living with Hemophilia" speakers bureau.

As part of this program, Wyeth makes speakers available to discuss a variety of topics related to hemophilia and Wyeth products at local hemophilia organizations and hemophilia treatment centers. Topics include

Hemophilia is a rare, inherited blood clotting disorder for which there is currently no cure. People with hemophilia are deficient in one of the key proteins — factor VIII (hemophilia A) or factor IX (hemophilia B) — that are vital in the clotting cascade to prevent bleeding. Both forms of hemophilia are characterized by spontaneous hemorrhages or prolonged bleeding, typically into joints and soft tissue.
