The program from Camp E Ho'omana Kakou (Being Empowered Together) introduces CITs to career planning and the college environment.
NACCHO is conducted by the Hemophilia Association, Inc., and was held January 27-29 in Tempe, Arizona. A pre-conference meeting was conducted for camp directors to discuss programs and issues regarding camp design and management. Wyeth Pharmaceuticals is the founding and exclusive sponsor of the conference.
"This year's NACCHO provided a rich variety of sessions. Speakers and attendees shared ideas about innovating and rewarding programs that will help to enhance the camp experience for children in the bleeding disorder community," said Michael Rosenthal, NACCHO Chair and Executive Director of the Hemophilia Association, Inc. "Our thanks to the planning committee and our speakers for creating an educational and fun conference."
"Every year, we are impressed and moved by the knowledge and commitment of the volunteers involved in bleeding disorder camps. This year was no exception; Wyeth is honored to support NACCHO and its important work to enhance the camping experience for children attending bleeding disorder camps," said Robert J.
